Laser Diode Collimator Lenses
Advanced Beam Shaping for Laser Diodes
FISBA’s Fast Axis Collimators (FACs), available with the option “on bottom tabs”, and Slow Axis Collimators (SACs) provide a complete optical solution for beam shaping in diode laser systems. When used together, they transform divergent laser emissions into a symmetrically collimated, high-quality beam—ideal for demanding applications such as pump modules, direct diode laser and 3D sensing applications,
Precision Beam Shaping: From Prototype to Production
With over 20 years of development and innovation in laser collimation, FISBA delivers an extensive, ready-to-use portfolio:
- 180+ standard Fast Axis and Slow Axis Collimator variants for all kinds of laser diode types
- Multiple focal lengths, different wavelengths and lenght
- Tailored micro-optics and monolithic arrays for single emitters and bars
Our lenses are engineered for low beam divergence, minimal side lobes, and low absorption, ensuring excellent beam quality and optical efficiency, even across challenging blue wavelengths.
Designed for Scalable Integration
FISBA lenses are built for high-volume production and automated assembly. Tight tolerances allow collimators to integrate seamlessly into standard and custom laser packages. Our collimator lenses fully support:
- Consistent collimation
- Reduced alignment time and system complexity
- Customized packaging matching your automated assembly system
Typical Applications:
- Pump modules for fiber lasers, DPSS and disk lasers
- Direct diode laser systems for medical and industrial applications
- LiDAR and Laser Range Finders
Fast Axis Collimator (FAC) lense
Our FAC lenses are designed to collimate the highly divergent fast axis of diode lasers, ensuring stable beam profiles and high optical efficiency.
- Focal length: 200 – 1700 µm
- Wavelength: 430 – 1600 nm
- Length: 2 – 20 mm
Fast Axis Collimator (FAC) lense on bottom tab
The FAC lenses are positioned precisely on tabs in accordance with customer specifications. This makes handling easier and the FAC smile can be kept within a small range.
- Precise positioning on tabs (± 2 μm)
- Adjusted offset of the FAC to the tab, depending on the individually measured BFL of the lens (+/-5µm)
Slow Axis Collimator (SAC) lenses
Different to most single emitter SACs available on the market, FISBA SACs come with aspherical correction to reduce spherical aberation. This enable better beam collimation especially for small emitters.
- Feasible focal length for single emitters: 4.0 - 12 mm
- Feasible wavelength:, 405 – 1600 nm
- Arrays for multi-emitter (laser bars):, Pitch 500 or 1000 µm
